Job Description

Job Description-

  • Lead the Electrical & Mechanical Design & Engineering function for LV & MV Switchboards from order handover to project completion.
  • Review customer requirements and develop complete engineering deliverables including electrical and mechanical manufacturing documentation.
  • Manage customer, consultant and EPC interfaces for technical discussions, engineering approvals and design modifications.
  • Plan and prioritize engineering activities to ensure timely release of drawings, BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Projects, Production, Planning, Procurement and Quality to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Drive engineering excellence through standardization, value engineering, digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and develop a high-performing engineering team while monitoring departmental performance, MIS and resource utilization.


Qualification-

  • Diploma / B.E. (Electrical)
  • Preferred Additional Qualification - M.Tech in related field


Mandatory Requirements-

  • Minimum 15–20 years of experience in LV & MV Switchboard or Electrical Equipment manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering multiple high-value engineering projects while meeting quality, cost and delivery commitments.
  • Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, cost optimization, inventory planning and working capital management.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP, MIS reporting and data-driven decision-making.

Technical skills-

  • Thorough knowledge of LV & MV Switchboards including PCC, MCC, APFC, Control Panels, SLDs, GA Drawings, Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, BOMs and Mechanical Layouts.
  • Proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong knowledge of IEC, IS, customer specifications, electrical calculations, busbar design, enclosure design and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
  • Expertise in engineering documentation, revision control, document management systems and engineering standardization.
  • Competent in leveraging AI-enabled solutions to improve engineering productivity, automate design and documentation workflows, optimize engineering processes, and support data-driven decision-making through MIS and engineering analytics.
  • Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), value engineering, cost optimization, and manufacturing processes related to sheet metal fabrication, busbar systems, and switchboard assembly.
